Welcome to Discovery Bible Fellowship

Highlights

Town Hall Meeting

Welcome,

Thank you for taking the time to check out Discovery’s website. Discovery Bible Fellowship is a church that began in the greater Winchester area in 1994 with a vision to provide a contemporary context for young people to connect with God and grow as believers. Over the years the vision has grown to encompass a broader demographic of seekers and believers, but has retained a desire to be progressive in reaching out to the younger generations in our area.

Discovery is simply a group of regular folks of all ages, who want to experience “church” the way God intended it to be…an authentic, caring community that intentionally and strategically fosters passionate disciples of Jesus Christ.

If you do not have a church home and want to “check us out”, we’d love to meet you and introduce you to Discovery. Who knows, you may just find that you want to make Discovery your church family. Regardless, I’m sure you’ll find Discovery
to be a friendly and caring place.

The times of our various gatherings are listed in the “About Us” section of the site.

This Weeks Scripture

Acts 8:32-38 (New International Version)

32The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture:
"He was led like a sheep to the slaughter,
and as a lamb before the shearer is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
33In his humiliation he was deprived of justice.
Who can speak of his descendants?
For his life was taken from the earth."

34The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?" 35Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

36As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?" 38And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
